The Provocation Garden is an innovative, participatory well being tool that fosters engagement with students, parents and staff at St Paul's School. At the heart of the Possibility Hub in the St Paul's Innovation Precinct lies a captivating vertical garden projection. Throughout the day thought-provoking prompts appear, enticing participants to contemplate and express their responses via a mobile device or touch screen. The provocations are carefully curated by St Paul's staff to stimulate critical thinking, creativity and self reflection among individuals of all ages.
To encourage active participation, The Provocation Garden incorporates Harvard's "Flourish" measure. For every response shared by students, parents, and staff, a virtual flower of a specific color is added to a randomly generated garden bed. This dynamic representation of collective thoughts and insights evolves in real time, reflecting the diverse perspectives of the community. Staff have the ability to add, remove, or lock provocations, ensuring that the content remains relevant and conducive to meaningful discussions. Additionally, they can easily access and download datasets, enabling further exploration and evaluation of the community's engagement.
